Adding Color Range to an Ohio Home with a Covered Porch
The brick on this house went up with large areas carrying almost no color range at all. The company that made the brick paid to have it blended in 1996, while the yard was still bare dirt. It was photographed again twenty-three years later and certified then.
1996
What was wrong
The file puts it in one line: there were large areas around the house with little to no color range. Nothing had failed and nothing was dirty, and the house was new. The Hired by line reads brick manufacturer, so the company that made the brick paid to put it right.
What was done
Mineral stain, brushed into the brick by hand, unit by unit. Not one color over the whole wall. The file is exact about the method: several new colors were added to the brick for a better blend. The storyline says why, a better blend of light and dark shades across the range.
2019, twenty-three years on
What twenty-three years prove
The mark on the file is Platinum, which covers twenty years and over on the certification scale. Twenty-three years after the work, the walls still read as a range of brick rather than as one flat tone. As of 2026 the house is thirty years old and the 2019 certification is the most recent record on it.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the house. This is the one for case 122, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
