Accessibility
Everyone should be able to read this site, look at the work, and reach us, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, or zoom.
What we build to
We build and check this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most U.S. accessibility guidance points to. In practice that means:
- Every photograph carries a written description for screen readers.
- Menus, forms, the photo viewer, and the before-and-after sliders all work from a keyboard alone.
- Anything that moves on its own can be paused, and nothing moves at all when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Form errors are announced to screen readers and named in words, not shown in color alone.
- Every page has a skip link past the menu and is laid out with proper headings and landmarks.
We test with automated checks across every page and by hand with a keyboard, and we review again whenever the site changes.
Documents from other organizations
Some of the PDFs we link to, such as the manufacturer data sheets and the Brick Industry Association brief, were published by other organizations. We host them as they were issued. If one does not work with your tools, tell us and we will send you the same information in a form that does.
