Breaking Up Patchy Brick on a Mason, Ohio House
The brick on this two-story house ran patchy, with off-colored units scattered through the range. The company that made the brick paid to have the patches broken up with stain in 2008. It was photographed again eleven years later and certified then.
2008
What was wrong
The file puts it in one line: there were a lot of patchy, off-colored brick in the range. Nothing had failed and nothing was dirty, the color simply came out uneven. The Hired by line reads brick manufacturer, so the company that made the brick paid for the fix.
What was done
Mineral stain, brushed into the brick by hand, unit by unit. Not one color rolled over a wall. The file says what was corrected in ten words: we used our stain to break up the patchy areas.
2019, eleven years on
What eleven years prove
The mark on the file is Silver, which covers ten years and over on the certification scale. The storyline records why the revisit is one frame from the road: we were unable to take close up pictures per the homeowners request but we have pictures from across the street. As of 2026 the work is eighteen years old, and the 2019 certification is the most recent record on it.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the house. This is the one for case 182, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
