The credit union entrance in 2019, brick columns and a copper fascia beside a fieldstone wall

Matching an Added Column on a Mishawaka Credit Union

An exterior column added to the entrance of this branch went up in a brick nobody could match. The business that owns the building paid to have the new column color corrected instead. It was photographed again nineteen years later and certified then.

What was wrong

An exterior column was added to the front of this branch and its brick did not agree with the building it was built onto. The file puts it in eleven words: they added an exterior column that did not match the bank.

Nothing had failed and nothing was dirty. The file says they could not find a brick that was close in color, so the branch was left with a pale column at its front door. The credit union paid for the correction itself.

What was done

Mineral stain, brushed on by hand, unit by unit, on the added column and nothing else. The phrase in the file is color corrected the column to create a closer match.

What nineteen years prove

Same column, same entrance, and the stain is still doing the job it was mixed to do. On the certification scale that is Gold, which covers fifteen years and over. As of 2026 the work is twenty-six years old, and the 2019 certification is the most recent record on it.

The signed file

Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 115, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
