The brick wing of the Westerville house in 2019, its brick reading as one even red and tan range

Repairing Wand Damage on a Westerville Home

A pressure washer left serious wand damage on the brick of this house. The masonry contractor paid to have the color put back by hand in July 2010, area by area. It was photographed again nine years later and certified then.

What was wrong

The file puts it in one line: there was serious wand damage from a pressure washer in certain areas of the home. Nothing had failed and nothing was dirty. A wand held too close had taken the color off the brick in patches.

It was hired by the mason, not the homeowner. A masonry contractor paid to put the color right on a house that was already finished.

What was done

Mineral stain, brushed on by hand, unit by unit. The correction on the form is short: we stained 100% of the areas affected. Only the damaged areas were taken back into the range of the brick around them.

What nine years prove

The form was signed in 2019, nine years after the work, and the storyline is blunt about the alternative: tear down the brick and start over. On the certification scale nine years is Bronze, which covers seven to nine years. As of 2026 the work is sixteen years old, and the 2019 certification is the most recent record on it.

The signed file

Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 315, transcribed beside the document so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
