Staining Pressure Washer Damage on a Novi House
A pressure washer, used wrong, took the color out of the brick on this house. The mason who built it hired the correction in 1999. A wall was photographed again in 2021 and certified Platinum.
1999
What was wrong
Pressure washer damage from improper cleaning, in the file's words. The before frame shows it: a pale patch below the soldier course where the face of the brick had been blasted off, with streaks running down from it. The mason who built the house hired the fix, not the homeowner.
What was done
Mineral stain on the damaged areas around the house, worked in to match the undamaged brick beside them. The after frame carries a camera date of July 24, 1999.
2021, twenty-two years on
What twenty-two years prove
The 2021 frame is a wall of the house in snow, with the certification stamp on it. One range across the face. On the certification scale that is Platinum, which starts at twenty years. The form's storyline is one line: over 20 years ago, the color enhanced brick still look great.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 370, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
