Correcting an Off Run of Brick on a Novi Garage Wall
One run of brick in the garage wall of this house went up off color from the rest. The brick manufacturer hired the correction in 2000. The same corner was photographed again in 2021 and certified Platinum.
2000
What was wrong
An off run of brick laid in the wall, in the file's words, in the garage area of the house. The brick manufacturer hired the fix, not the homeowner.
What was done
Mineral stain on the off colored units, worked in to match the run around them. Both period frames carry a camera date of August 4, 2000.
2021, twenty-one years on
What twenty-one years prove
The 2021 frame is the same corner in snow, with the certification stamp on it. One range across the face, no run standing out. On the certification scale that is Platinum, which starts at twenty years. The storyline on the form: members of the original family still live in the house, and were surprised anyone would come back to check.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 377, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
