Correcting a Mixed Brick Run on a Mason Michigan Home

A different run of brick got mixed into this home. The company that made the brick paid to have the off-color units corrected in 2003, the area by the front door most of all. It was photographed again sixteen years later and certified then.

What was wrong

The file puts it in eleven words: a different run of brick got mixed in on this house. Nothing had failed and nothing was dirty. One batch of units did not agree with the rest of the wall. It was hired by the brick manufacturer, not by the people living there.

What was done

Mineral stain, brushed into the brick by hand. Not one color over the wall: the file records the extremely off colored brick corrected by lightening and darkening different areas, so the finished elevation still reads as a range. The area by the front door needed an artistic flair to color correct.

What sixteen years prove

Same house, same front door, sixteen years apart. The file's own words for it are sixteen years and counting. On the certification scale that is Gold, fifteen years and over, and as of 2026 the work is twenty-three years old.

The signed file

Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 086, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
