Blending Two Mismatched Brick Runs on Limestone Court
Two runs of brick went into this house and they did not match, in color or in texture. The company that made the brick paid to have them blended rather than torn out. It was photographed again fourteen years later and certified then.
2005
What was wrong
The brick arrived in two runs and the two did not agree. The file records a texture difference between them as well, so the wall read as two walls. The company that made the brick paid for the correction, not the owner.
What was done
Mineral stain, brushed on by hand. The file describes it in one line: the brick was stained by lightening and darkening it. Not one color laid over everything, but the two runs brought toward each other until the wall reads as a single range.
2019, fourteen years on
What fourteen years prove
Photographed again in 2019 and certified then. Fourteen years is Silver on the certification scale, which covers ten years and over. The file is candid about where the job stopped: the homeowner did not want enhancements added for an even closer match. As of 2026 the work is twenty-one years old.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 213, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
