The front of the motorcycle showroom in 2019, its stained brick piers and walls reading as one tan and orange range

Restaining an Indiana Harley-Davidson Showroom to Match

The owner of this motorcycle showroom did not like the color of the brick. The business paid to have all of it stained rather than rebuilt. It was photographed again sixteen years later and certified then.

What was wrong

Nothing had failed and nothing was dirty. The owner did not like the color the building was in. The file records the reason for the project as addition or makeover, and the issue in seven words: the customer wanted a better match.

It was hired by the business that runs the showroom, not the mason and not the brick supplier.

What was done

Mineral stain, brushed on by hand, unit by unit. Not a patch and not a few off-color areas: the file records staining 100% of the brick, the whole building taken into one range at once. The phrase in the file is that the work was to update the appearance of the building.

What sixteen years prove

Same walls, same entrance, and a color that is the color it was mixed to. On the certification scale that is Gold, which covers fifteen years and over. As of 2026 the work is twenty-three years old, and the 2019 certification is the most recent record on it.

The signed file

Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 296, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
