The front of the Fishers house in 2019, its brick an even dark red and brown range beside the entrance

Evening Out Blotchy Walls on a Fishers Indiana Home

The brick on this two-story house went up blotchy, pale patches sitting among dark ones on every wall. The company that made the brick paid to have it evened out rather than torn off. It was photographed again eleven years later and certified then.

Location Fishers, Indiana

2008

  1. A brick wall in 2008, pale grey and washed out units sitting among dark maroon ones under a soldier course and a white soffit Before, 2008 View this photo larger
  2. The front of the two-story house in 2008 with the work under way, deep maroon brick beside tan siding, a white porch post and an arched upper window During, 2008 View this photo larger

What was wrong

Nothing had failed and nothing was dirty. The complaint was the wall itself, and the file puts it in six words: blotchy walls all over the house. Under Hired by, the form marks Brick Mfg, so the company that made the brick is the one that paid to put it right.

What was done

Mineral stain, brushed on by hand, unit by unit. The correction ran in two directions at once, and the file says so: we lightened and darkened the blotchy areas on the house to create a better match. The homeowner did not want a uniform result, so the wall keeps its range.

2019, eleven years on

What eleven years prove

Same walls, same courses, and a range that still reads as brick rather than as one flat color. On the certification scale that is Silver, which covers ten years and over. As of 2026 the work is eighteen years old, and the 2019 certification is the most recent record on it.

The line the file wants read is its own: remember, not all brick are monotone.

The signed file

Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 150, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
