Correcting Brick That Missed the Sample Board in Erie
The brick delivered to this new home did not match the sample board the homeowners had chosen. The company that made the brick paid to have most of it color enhanced in 2004. It was photographed again sixteen years later and certified then.
2004
What was wrong
The homeowners picked their brick from a manufacturer's mini board. When the brick was shipped and laid, it did not match the board. Nothing had failed; the wall was simply not the color that had been chosen. The company that made the brick hired the correction, not the owners.
What was done
Mineral stain, brushed on by hand. The file records a majority of the brick on the home color enhanced, in its own phrase. Nothing was torn out and nothing was relaid.
2020, sixteen years on
What sixteen years prove
Same house, same brick, one range across the side wall and the front. On the certification scale that is Gold, which covers fifteen years and over. As of 2026 the work is twenty-two years old, and the 2020 certification is the most recent record on it.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 345, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
