Tinting Mismatched Brick Over a Garage Door at Saline Estates
Two lots of brick went onto this house and the run over the garage doors did not match. No more of the first lot could be found, so the company that made the brick paid to have it stained instead of torn out. It was photographed again in 2020 and certified then.
2007
What was wrong
Two different lots of brick on one house, and the second lot landed over the garage doors. The homeowner wanted those courses ripped out and relaid from the first lot, but there was none left to buy. The brick manufacturer hired the correction, not the homeowner.
What was done
Tinted for a better color match, in the file's own words: mineral stain brushed into the off-lot units so they read with the brick around them. The yellow tape in the 2007 frames is the job's own marking on the wall.
2020, thirteen years on
What thirteen years prove
One range across the courses over both doors and down the pier between them. On the certification scale that is Silver, which starts at ten years. The form's storyline says fourteen; 2007 to the 2020 signature is thirteen, and the spec row prints thirteen. As of 2026 the work is nineteen years old.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 336, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
