Staining Block and Mortar in One Wall of a Michigan Temple
One area in the middle of the wall was the whole job. The mason or contractor hired the correction, and the file records half a day on site in 2000. The wall was photographed again nineteen years later and certified Platinum.
2000
What was wrong
One area in the middle of the wall, and nothing else. The file names no failure and no defect in the block itself. The mason or contractor hired the work rather than the owner, which is what the Hired By line on the form records.
What was done
Mineral stain on the block and on the mortar, in that one area. The joints were carried with the units rather than left as a gap between colors, which is what lets a patch disappear into a wall that is already banded. The file records half a day on site.

What nineteen years prove
The corrected area is not picked out in any of the 2019 frames. The block and the joints read as one range across the curve. On the certification scale that is Platinum, twenty years and over, signed in 2020. As of 2026 the work is twenty-six years old and the 2019 revisit is the most recent record on it.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 264, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
