Blending Off Color Brick on a Michigan School
The color and the texture were off on some of the brick at this Michigan school. A business hired the correction in 2002 and the areas in question were color enhanced. The building was photographed again seventeen years later and certified then.
2002
What was wrong
The file puts it in one line: the color and the texture were off on some of the brick. Not the whole building, some of it. The before frame carries a camera date of 31 May 2002, and the brick in it runs tan and salmon with darker units scattered unevenly across the courses.
What was done
One action is recorded. The areas in question were color enhanced, which is mineral stain worked into the units that sat outside the range of the wall around them rather than one flat color over the whole elevation.
2019, seventeen years on
What seventeen years prove
In 2019 the school was photographed again, a corner and a blank elevation. The file's own verdict on the result is a seamless blend that still looks great. The mark on it is Platinum, twenty years and over on the certification scale, and as of 2026 the work is twenty-four years old.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed once someone has gone back to the building. This is the one for case 216, transcribed beside the form page so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
