Color Correcting Mismatched Brick on a Michigan Restoration
Brick on this restored home did not match. The mason who carried out the restoration hired the correction in 2002, and the house was photographed again seventeen years later.
2002
What was wrong
Mismatched brick on a restored home. That is the whole of the file's background line, and the 2002 photograph carries it: pink, tan and grey units scattered through the red on the front, and a side wall reading a different range again.
What was done
The off-colored brick was color corrected. The frame taken part way through shows what that means at the corner, with the return already one even red and the wall beside it still mottled.
2019, seventeen years on
What seventeen years prove
The corner that was half done in 2002 reads as one range across both walls in 2019. On the certification scale that is Platinum, twenty years and over, signed in 2020. As of 2026 the work is twenty-four years old.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 205, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
