Tightening the Color Range on a Waste Water Plant
The brick on this plant building came out too rangy and the architect rejected it. The manufacturer that made the brick paid to have the range tightened in 2003. It was photographed again in 2021 and certified Gold.
2003
What was wrong
Nothing had failed. The brick arrived in a wider color range than the architect would accept, and the 2003 frame shows it: bands of lighter and darker units across both walls. The manufacturer that made the brick hired the correction, not the owner.
What was done
More than one recipe. The file records several, some to lighten units and some to darken them, so the range closed from both ends. The form's words are a tighter and consistent color range; the 2021 frame is the check on them.
2021, eighteen years on
What eighteen years prove
Same corner, one range across both walls. On the certification scale that is Gold, which covers fifteen years and over. The form was signed in 2020 and the revisit frame is dated 2021; as of 2026 the work is twenty-three years old.
The signed file
Every certified job gets the same form, signed on the day someone goes back to the building. This is the one for case 368, transcribed beside the scan so it can be read on a phone and by a search engine.
